Services provided to this sector are typically associated with property transaction pre-purchase environmental due diligence. ECS is listed as an approved consultant for  a number of banks as well as the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA), who provides financing for public housing projects. ECS is a MSHDA approved consultant for both Group A Services (Phase I/II, BEA, DDCC, NFA, Asbestos, Lead Based Paint and Underground Storage Tanks) and Group B Services (National Environmental Protection Act {“NEPA”} studies and statutory compliance reports for compliance with HUD funded projects {24 CFR Part 58}.  The Group B list consists of only eight firms. In addition, ECS has completed numerous projects which were approved by the Small Business Administration or HUD. 

Architects/Attorneys

Architects and attorneys  retain ECS directly or refer us to their clients. Typically, we provide services associated with property transaction pre-purchase environmental due diligence such as Phase I ESAs, Phase II ESAs and Baseline Environmental Assessments. 

Other services we have provided to this sector include sub-surface investigation and consulting on issues associated with construction practices, contaminated soil management plans, assessing and providing recommendations to address owner Due Care obligations and remediation cost estimates.
